A video's view count doesn't include video loops, and a view is counted when a video is watched for 3 seconds or more.

Keep in mind that only the owner of the video can see who has viewed the video, everyone else can only see the view count.

To see a video's views, first tap the view count below the video. From there, you can see all the users who have viewed your video.

It may take some time before a view shows up in a video's view count. If views aren't showing up on your video, try checking back later.

Enter your email address you used to create your account and tap Submit which will send you a Password Reset Email.
If you can't access the email you registered with, we're not able to give you access to this account.

If you're not receiving the password reset email, it's possible that the email is going in your spam filter or that you mistyped your email when requesting for a password reset email. To get your password reset email, try:

  • Checking your spam filter
  • Getting in touch with your email service provider to make sure that you're able to get emails from the @watchme.social domain
  • Try requesting for a password reset email again, and make sure you enter the right email address

If you're receiving a password reset email for the wrong account, it's likely that the account you're trying to log into was registered with a different email address.
To regain access to the right account, try any other email addresses you may have used.
If you think there's a WatchMe account associated with your email address and you don't own that account, let us know.

You might want to try sending yourself a password reset email again since the links in those emails are time-sensitive. If you don't use the link within a certain amount of time, that particular link may no longer work.
If you're copying the reset link or your newly reset password, make sure you haven't copied any extra spaces before pasting it into your browser or the login fields.

Android and iOS

Some people on iOS may see a "Sorry, we couldn't connect to our login server. Please confirm you have an Internet connection and try again in a moment" message when trying to log into WatchMe.
Some people on Android may have trouble logging in but aren't getting an error message.

Solution

If you get this error when trying to create an account or sign into your account, and you believe your internet connection is stable, try resetting your Wi-Fi router to resolve the issue.
If your phone has service through a carrier (ex: 3G or EDGE), try turning off Wi-Fi and connecting using cellular data.
If that doesn't help, try opening your phone's Settings and make sure you have automatic settings turned on for your date and time.

If you're trying to log into your account but can't remember your username:

  • Tap Forgot Password? at the bottom right corner of the log in page
  • Type in your Email address which is associated with the account and click Submit which will send you a password reset email
  • We'll send you an email with your username in the greeting. You'll also have to reset your password
  • If you're logged into your account, you can find your username at the top of your profile

If you lost access to the email address you used to sign up for WatchMe, you can change the email address associated with your account.
If you are logged out of WatchMe and can't log in, please get in touch with your email service provider to get access to that email.
We understand this can be frustrating, but this policy is meant to make sure WatchMe accounts don't fall into the wrong hands.

Most likely, someone tried to sign up for a WatchMe account using your email address by mistake.

To remove your email from the account:
Click let us know at the bottom of the Welcome to WatchMe email to let us know this wasn't you.
You should then be able to use this email address to sign up for a WatchMe account.
If you're still having issues with your email or phone number, let us know.

If your WatchMe account was disabled, you can activate it by logging in within 2 months of disabling it. After that, your account will be permanently disabled and you will not be able to gain access to it again.

Keep in mind that you should always make sure you're running the latest version of the WatchMe app as well as the latest version of your phone or tablet's operating system before following these steps.

Always try restarting your phone or tablet first if you're having trouble with WatchMe.

If restarting your phone or tablet doesn't help, try deleting and reinstalling WatchMe:

  • From the Home screen, tap and hold the WatchMe app icon until it shakes.
  • Tap x on the app to delete it. Your videos and profile info will be saved by WatchMe.
  • Go to the App Store, reinstall WatchMe and then log in with your username and password.

  • Go to your phone or tablet's Settings and tap Applications > Manage Applications > WatchMe.
  • Tap Uninstall.
  • Go to the Google Play Store, reinstall WatchMe and then log in with your username and password.

If the last two steps don't help, please try using WatchMe both on Wi-Fi and on your mobile data connection to see if the problem is because of a weak Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.

If these steps didn't resolve your problem, send us an email on support@watchme.social so that we can investigate.

If WatchMe is crashing when you're trying to upload a video, it's often because of memory issues on your phone. For example, if you have apps running in the background, they could be using up a lot of your phone's memory and causing WatchMe to crash. Try turning off your phone and turning it on again to reset its memory.

If after restarting your phone WatchMe continues to crash, you can report the issue to us. Please make sure to provide as much detail as possible, including your phone, operating system version, WatchMe version and when the crashes occur most often.

If you're using WatchMe and you get stuck while processing a video, please try force quitting the app.

Apple iOS

To force quit:
Leave the WatchMe app by pressing the Home button on your phone. The Home button is the physical button at the bottom of your phone with the white square on it.
Double-click the Home button and a tray will pop up.
Press and hold the WatchMe icon for 5 seconds until the icon starts to shake.
Tap the red minus button that pops up on the WatchMe icon. This will force quit the app, and you should be able to log in normally after that.

Android

To force quit:
Leave the WatchMe app.
Open the Settings app on your phone.
Tap Applications > Manage applications > WatchMe > Force Stop.

If you're having trouble uploading videos, follow our troubleshooting steps. Keep in mind that you may not be able to upload videos in areas with a weak Wi-Fi or cellular signal.
If you have a strong signal and keep getting error messages, check to see if uploads fail on both Wi-Fi and on your mobile data connection.
Some mobile carriers limit a customer's data after they've used a certain amount of mobile data in a month. This can result in failed video uploads to WatchMe toward the end of the month. If this is happening to you, contact your service provider directly.
If you think you've encountered a technical problem with WatchMe, report it to us by sending us an email on support@watchme.social.

Currently this feature is not available, but please look forward to it in our next update.

We don't support emojis, and we hide comments that are made up only of emoji.

Try updating your app to the latest version.
If your WatchMe app is up to date, you may be getting an error for another reason.

This will appear if the language you typed the comment in is not supported by WatchMe.

If you edit your username and continue to see your old username within the app, you're likely experiencing a caching issue. We cache certain images and text to make the app run faster.

Keep in mind that you're the only person seeing your old, cached username. Eventually, your old username will be completely cleared out of our system. If you'd like the old username to disappear immediately, however, you can uninstall and reinstall the app to clear your cache.

If that doesn't help, try opening your phone's Settings and make sure you have automatic settings turned on for your date and time.

This may be due to an internet issue with your phone. If you continue receiving this message, please check if your wifi has a strong signal. If you are convinced that your wifi is working fine, try using your mobile data, and if that doesn't work too, then please try contacting your internet provider.

If your WatchMe account was disabled, you can activate it by logging in within 2 months of disabling it. After that, your account will be permanently disabled and you will not be able to gain access to it again.

We're aware of an issue where some people get a "Device not compatible" error message in the Google Play Store when trying to download WatchMe, even though WatchMe should support the phone. Google is currently investigating this issue with Google Play Store.

As a temporary workaround, Google suggests clearing Google Play Store's data from your phone and then trying to install WatchMe. To do this, go to Settings > Application Manager > All > Google Play Store > Clear data.

Currently this feature is not available, but please look forward to it in our next update.

Try updating your app to the latest version.
If your WatchMe app is up to date, you may be getting an error for another reason.

If you're having trouble loading the app, follow our troubleshooting steps. You may not be able to load videos in areas with a weak Wi-Fi or cellular signal. If you're having difficulty loading the app in an area with a strong signal as well, then it's most likely an issue with your internet connection.

A couple of things to keep in mind:
Some mobile carriers limit a customer's mobile data after they've used a certain amount of data in a month, which can result in loading errors toward the end of the month. If you're regularly having trouble using the app at the end of each month, contact your service provider directly.
When there are a lot of people in the same location, like a mall, trying to use a mobile network at the same time, it may appear as if you have strong cellular signal even though connection is weak. This should resolve itself once you're no longer at that location.
If you think you're experiencing a technical problem with WatchMe, you can report it by sending us an email to support@watchme.social.
